Welcome to Timothy Christian!
The greatest tasks of Christian parents is teaching our children to know and love the Lord. Founded in Wellsburg, Iowa by a group of parents in 1941, Timothy Christian School has worked to come alongside parents to provide Christ-centered courses for their children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Timothy Christian is a remarkable school in which students are encouraged to use their gifts for lives of service. Our school strives to teach about our world from a Biblical worldview while encouraging children to think independently and critically.

Smaller Class Sizes
Classrooms typically have 5-10 children. This offers a much greater capacity for individualized attention and instruction. We refuse to let students slip through the cracks.
Kindergarten
3 Days Per Week
We believe that children need play and rest as much as structured teaching. We are one of few schools that still offer part-time kindergarten. Kindergarten students meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Christian Worldview
We do not believe in sheltering children from the world; instead, we are focused on teaching them to see the world through a Biblical worldview. Our curriculum is chosen to reflect Biblical principles. Our staff have devotions together each morning, Friday mornings begin with an all-school Chapel, and EVERY subject is taught with God's Word in mind.
Loving Student Community
Our whole student body is a loving group of kids who welcome new students. Timothy kids are taught to resolve their own differences kindly. The whole school plays together during recess, and it is common to see 8th graders playing basketball with 1st graders.
