State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa
Timothy Christian School eighth-grader, Matthew Cox, participated at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa in Ames on Friday, March 29. His study How Glazing Ground Beef with a T4r Bacteriophage Affects Escherichia coli B Growth Potential earned Matthew great reviews from judges and the Iowa Angus Auxiliary Award. Congratulations Matthew on your third successful year at the state science fair!
Battle of the Books
The Tiger Tales team represented Timothy Christian School this year at the Elementary Battle of the Books held at AEA 267 in Cedar Falls. They competed with 3rd-6th-grade teams from many other Iowa schools answering questions from a list of books that they have been reading over the course of the school year.
The team won the Creativity Award!! Great job!
Books included on the reading lists have been carefully selected and are chosen for their high-interest level, challenging vocabulary, multiple reading levels, and appropriate content. The books are purposefully selected to expose students to a variety of genres, quality authors, diverse cultures, and historical eras.
